Background

Little Lake can be accessed by hi level 4wd track to the east of nearby Gunns Lake or by walking 1.2 km from the north eastern corner of Gunns Lake. Little Lake caters for all types of angling with small boats and kayaks providing access to the majority of the lake. Wading is productive however shore based anglers should be wary of soft sediments and deep holes. Lure casting and wet fly fishing early in the season accounts for many fish with good hatches and polaroiding during summer and autumn. Little Lake is within the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Please protect the environment, stay on formed tracks and roads and follow recommended management requirements on signs to ensure access to this area is maintained.
