Landing construction starts at Penstock Lagoon
Construction of the timber landing at Penstock Lagoon has commenced. ASD diving established on site on Tuesday 9th June and deployed a barrier in the canal to contain any sediment disturbed during construction. IFS staff electro fished the area inside the barrier to remove any threatened species and trout.
The timber landing is designed to improve amenity at the boat ramp making it easier to launch, retrieve, load and unload boats. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of July.
Stage two of the project that will see the installation of flexmat at the boat ramp later in 2015. This project has been made possible through the MAST Recreational Boating Fund.
