Pontoon installed at the Jonah Bay boat ramp

The new pontoon replacing the old wooden walkway allows for dual lane access to the boat ramp at Jonah Bay.

Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST) have announced that the installation of the pontoon replacement for the timber walkway at Jonah Bay (Arthurs Lake) was completed yesterday. The pontoon is offset from where the old walkway was, giving even lane widths on both sides.

This compliments the two other pontoons and Arthurs Lake Dam Wall and Swan Bay (Great Lake) which were installed in November 2013. The next pontoon is planned for Brandum Bay (Great Lake). The anchor plates have been fitted which should see the pontoon installed over the next couple of weeks.
