INLAND FISHERIES ADVISORY COUNCIL
Expressions of Interest are invited for appointments to the Inland Fisheries Advisory Council (IFAC).
Established under Section 20A of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995, IFAC is the advisory body for matters relating to inland fisheries.
In broad terms, the role of IFAC is to provide strategic advice to the Minister on freshwater fisheries management and fisheries policy.
Women are encouraged to apply. The Tasmanian Government is committed to a target of 50% representation of women across Tasmanian Government boards and committees. For more information go to:

Five positions will be appointed:
- a person who holds an angling licence representing the north-west area;
- a person with freshwater commercial fisheries expertise
- a person with freshwater angling associations expertise
- and two Ministerial appointment
A sitting fee is paid together with a travel costs.
Appointments will be made for terms up to four (4) years.
