Background

A River Derwent tributary starting in the Western Lakes and feeding the Hydro Tasmania storage of Pine Tier Lagoon. Much of the Nive River is fairly dewatered due to Hydro Tasmania storage though good sections occur about the power station before Tarraleah. Access from A10 (Lyell Hwy).
