The second annual Tiger Trail Festival is onthis weekend 20-22 September 2013

Community groups and businesses in the upper Derwent Valley are again banding together to celebrate the links that the area has with the Tasmanian Tiger.
Across the weekend of 20th to 22nd September the second  Tiger Trail Festival will take place in the upper Derwent Valley.  Townships and individual businesses from Bushy Park, Westerway, National Park, Maydena and out to Strathgordon will be putting on a range of events with something for everyone during the period.
The result is a range of events from a market at Westerway Hall, a bush dance organised by the Westerway Parents and Friends Association as a fundraiser for the school.  There will be walks and Tasmanian Tiger information at Mount Field National Park and you may even see a tame Tassie Tiger walking the streets of Maydena (if you are very lucky!)
More events are being added as news of the festival spreads, and the community is looking forward to a jam packed weekend of entertainment throughout the area.  Why not head up the valley and experience the hospitality it has to offer for the weekend,  as part of the Tiger  Trail Festival numerous accommodation businesses are offering special rates that include admittance to one of the ticketed events.
There are both free and ticketed events, with something for everyone and plenty of entertainment for the children and adults alike.   Keep up to date on what’s happening with the Tassie Tiger Festival on http://www.tigertrailfestival.com.au/
