MAST Recreational Boating Fund (RBF) Applications 2015
Boating anglers are encouraged to attend the RBF public forums hosted by MAST to provide feedback on boat ramp upgrade proposals for the 2015/16 year.
A number of freshwater projects have been submitted for funding including:
- Purchase of flexmat for various inland waters projects
- Extend ramp and install pontoon at Craigbourne Dam
- Install pontoon at Lake Leake
- Install flexmat at Penstock Lagoon
- Upgrade boat ramp at Lake St. Clair
- Install pontoon at Thureau Hills Lake Burbury
- Install pontoon at Lake Rosebery
- General maintenance at various highland lakes boat ramps
The meetings are scheduled as follows:

Burnie Monday 18 May 7.00pm Burnie Yacht Club
Launceston Tuesday 19 May 7.00pm Tamar Yacht Club
RBF projects in recent years include upgrade of boat ramps at Great Lake, installation of navigation lights at lakes throughout the State, Bronte Lagoon boat ramp and pontoon, Bradys Lake boat ramp and pontoon. MAST relies on feedback from recreational boaters to determine the successful applications – there are 35 projects valued at over $2.1M competing for $980K in funding this year.
