Hydrowood underwater logging operations have started in Lake Pieman/Reece Dam and there is an exclusion zone around the operation that is defined with yellow buoys.
Recreational boat users can pass through the area after making contact with the barge operator through marine radio or by hand signals. If the harvest barge is not operating then proceed through the area with caution.
There may be some debris in the water so caution needs to be exercised and a maximum speed of 5 knots is recommended.
Instructions stating the marine channel to use and other restrictions will be posted on signs.
