The staff of Inland Fisheries Service (IFS) have been busy this week preparing for Trout Weekend 2019. This popular annual event showcases our trout and native freshwater fisheries and the role of IFS in managing them.

Displays feature the latest work by the IFS, aquariums with native fish and other species. Vendors will be selling their wares and most importantly the brown trout have turned up in force in the Liawenee Canal. The ever-popular junior angling pond is sure to attract younger visitors keen to try their luck.
