Taswater, MAST and Inland Fisheries Service are committed to upgrading the Lake Mikany boat ramp during 2023/24. A new concrete ramp will be built at the same location as the existing gravel ramp which is unsuitable for trailer boats and vehicles. 

Canoes and kayaks may continue to use the ramp outside of construction periods until works are complete in May 2024. Only boats propelled manually or by electric motors can be used at Lake Mikany.
