Lake Sorell - Dago Point Campground Improvements

There have been recent significant improvements made to the road through the Dago Point Campground at Lake Sorell.

All pot holes in the road have now been filled, with the road having been graded and rolled.

These improvements are great to see as the popularity of the water is steadily increasing as the fishery recovers from the European carp incursion.

Although catch rates at Lake Sorell are still relatively low, anglers are reporting that the fish are in exceptionally good condition with an average weight of 2 - 3 kilograms.

We are expecting a major increase in angler visitation to this water over the coming few seasons as the fishery continues to recover.

On behalf of anglers, the IFS would like to thank the Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS) for the improvements.
