The Inland Fisheries Service (IFS) has completed trimming vegetation on the Pillans/Julians Track from Little Split Rock to Julians Lake to maintain the 4x4 access track.   The Pillans/Julians Track is one of only three 4x4 tracks within the iconic Western Lakes fishery.  Working under authority of Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS), extreme care was taken by the IFS to ensure minimal impact on native flora and threatened communities in this fragile and sensitive alpine environment.  The work was undertaken between 17th and 20th April 2024 and completes work started in 2022 to maintain access for recreational anglers.
