Earlier this week the IFS completed a fisheries performance assessment on Big Waterhouse Lake in the state’s Northeast.

Both brown trout and rainbow trout were captured, with a mixture of sizes present, including the most recent stockings, and older fish from previous stockings.

To support this assessment the IFS stocked Big Waterhouse Lake with 300 tagged brown trout back in June. If you catch one of these tagged fish, please let us know by emailing: infish@ifs.tas.gov.au 

Once complete, the assessment report will be published on the IFS website.
