Do you want to help shape the future of the Inland Fisheries Service?
Then you should apply to join the Inland Fisheries Advisory Council, the peak body for matters relating to our inland fisheries. There are seven available positions and a sitting fee is paid together with a vehicle kilometre allowance.
The key role of the Council is to provide strategic advice to the Minister and Director of Inland Fisheries on all aspects of freshwater fisheries management and fisheries policy.
We are seeking people with skills or experience in angling; conservation of freshwater ecosystems; tourism relating to inland fisheries; or freshwater commercial fisheries; together with a skills in either governance, finance, law, ecology, science, engineering, marketing or business management. Women are encouraged to apply.
Appointments will be made for terms from two to four years
