Carp Management Program quarterly report

The Carp Management Program have had a busy three months in January to March 2016 with a range of projects.

During this period 248 carp were caught using 720 individual gill nets and a range of other techniques.

Juvenile carp surveys in Lakes Sorell and Crescent were undertaken, in addition to a downstream carp survey in the Clyde River and a golden galaxias survey in both lakes.

Further trials on carp DNA detection in both Lakes Sorell and Crescent were also undertaken by a scientist from the University of Canberra.
