It’s here. At last.  After 3 long months.  Today you can start fishing once more in all brown trout waters around the state.

From Four Springs in the north to Lune River in the south.  From Lake Mackintosh in the West to Tooms Lake in the East. Anglers all, go forward and fish!

At the moment it looks like we’re in for a fine weather weekend.  Maybe some showers in the north on Sunday morning.  There is a suggestion of light winds.  It is still winter so dress warm.  And check the weather outlook for your fishing spot before you go.

Our officers will be out and about this weekend.  They’ll be all over the state so please say hello.  If you have a question, ask one of our boys in blue.  And do make sure you renewed or bought your licence for 2016-17.  We will be checking for these too.
