A sunny and enjoyable day at Brumbys Creek today for the 2022 Trout Expo. Over 600 people attended and over 200 trout were caught during the day. Eight tagged trout were caught and each of those lucky people won $50.00 for their effort. The conditions were spectacular with a perfect river height and easy access. It is always a delight to see families attending our event, with fishing rods, worms, plastics, lures and power bait. The children were enjoying the fresh air and for some, this was their first fishing experience. People from all areas of the State came along from as far as the Huon Valley, Bagdad, Burnie and even some interstate visitors. Our trusty volunteers made sure there were free sausages available for the hungry patrons. Thank you to Hydro Tasmania, Inland Fisheries, Northern Midlands Council, Cressy Community and our hard-working Trout Expo Committee for another successful event.
