Lake King William access update

None
Hydro Tasmania notification

Hydro Tasmania have some weekend work happening at Lake King William as part of planned upgrades. This will mean some additional traffic (light vehicles only) on Butlers Gorge Road on most Sundays for the next few months (likely to the end of December 2024).

Butlers Gorge road may be carrying some additional movements of light vehicles at either end of the day. Road users can take precautions to minimise speed and take extra care.

Butlers Gorge Road remains closed on weekdays from 7 am to 5 pm. This closure will be in place for the foreseeable future as Hydro Tasmania continue upgrade works at Lake King William.

The road is open outside of these hours, providing access to the lookout and boat ramp.

The Lake King William camp ground will remain closed for the foreseeable future. Hydro Tasmania apologises for any inconvenience.

There is no change to access to Mossy Marsh Dam which remains open for anglers and recreational use.
