2025 Australasian Police and Emergency Services (AP&ES) Games - Fishing Competition

The 2025 Australasian Police and Emergency Services (AP&ES) Games were held in Tasmania from 15-22 March.
The AP&ES Games featured trout fishing with anglers from Tasmania, New South Wales and Western Australia, representing several service providers, including the Tasmanian Fire Service, Rural Fire Service, Fire NSW, Australian Border Force, Tasmanian Police, SES, St Johns Ambulance and Ambulance Tasmania, going 'head-to-head' in a two-day fishing competition.
The competition was held across Yingina / Great Lake, Arthurs Lake and Shannon Lagoon, and included both fly and lure categories.
Some great fish were caught across the two days and some of the mainland anglers have already booked a return visit to Tasmania next season!
Director of Inland Fisheries, Ryan Wilkinson, attended the medal ceremony held at the Great Lake Hotel, and presented medals to the winning anglers.
Congratulations to the medal recipients and well done to the organisers and sponsors.
