This weekend is the last opportunity to fish Canal Bay at Yingina / Great Lake for the 2024-25 Season, as it closes for fishing from midnight, Sunday 30 March 2025.

It's a great opportunity to try your luck and catch a well conditioned brown trout, with pre spawning fish beginning to gather in the bay. You can use an artifical lure or fly fish in the bay, with both methods being very productive. 

Many people overlook this great piece of water, but now is the prime time to target a big brown trout or one of the magnificent rainbow trout that the lake holds. 

You may even catch a tagged trout and go home $5,000 richer!
